Hello, my lovelies, happy new month, and trust you are well? You know what I didn’t want the summer to end without a trip to the beach this summer to I had to dive myself down to enjoy the last days of sunshine and the calmness of the ocean and I must say it was needed.
If you are not familiar with Camber Sand Beach it is in Rye which is in East Sussex and unlike most of the beaches I have been to this has to be the sandiest beach I have ever been to has it is covered in fine, golden sand. One thing I want to be aware of which a lot of blog posts and google posts on this beach didn’t talk about was the fact that they have these mini flies and it was not possible to eat or drink on the beach. I don’t know if it was because of how hot it was on this day and on cooler days they are not there but it was the frustrating part for me.

How to get there?
By car, it is pretty straight forward just put Camber Sand on your google map and down you go. They have loads of parking places around the beach so it makes life much easier, you do need a phone to pay as it is done online and we stayed for 4 hours and that was £6 I believe but the price is pretty okay.
If you are traveling by train you need to get to Ashford International station then off to platform 2 which will take you to Rye station and. then 13 minutes walk to the Railway station then a bus to Pontins (102) and after 7 stops you will be at the beach.

Things to do at the beach?
It’s a big beach stretching nearly 5 miles east of the village. Camber Sands is a popular beach for windsurfing / kite-surfing spots which might suggest it is worth packing a windbreak. The beach is also regarded as one of the best places for beachcombing in the UK.
- Donkey rides
- Kite surfing
- Swimming/bathing
- Wind surfing
You can buy some surfing gears and swimming gears at the beach and I did see a few people on jet ski while at the beach. There are also so many thing you can get for kids at the beach so you don’t need to pack beach toys for your kids.

Food and Drinks?
Like I said earlier, on the day we went eating was not a choice due to the flies at the beach but before you get to the beach there are a few restaurants, candy shops, drinks shops. Taking a break and walking back out to grab some food and then coming back to the beach is the best choice. Yes, they are very pricey so be prepared.

Overall Thought
I had a fantastic time and yes I will be visiting again and hopefully staying over night as there is so many beach house for B n B and waking up to that view will be divine or I might stay in London and take the train down and spend the whole day but definitely going back again. I hope you enjoyed this and let me know in the comment section if you still plan on visiting the beach or you already have been to one and which one?

Nice trip.

Wow! It looks like a really lovely beach. It’s strange, when I see photos of English beaches I often think of freezing conditions, as I’m originally from Manchester. I’d love to see more of this part of the country too as I’ve heard lots of good things about it 🙂
